Then, cut along each side of the collar, making sure to leave enough fabric to tie around your neck. After that, cut along the bottom of the T-shirt. First, cut the sleeves off a sweatshirt. You’ll be using these as the hoodie’s ties.
Next, fold the sweatshirt in half so that the bottom hem meets the top shoulder seam. Cut along this seam so that you have two identical pieces of fabric.
Finally, cut a small opening in the center of the bottom of each piece of fabric for your head and arms to fit through.
Sew the Hoodie Part to the Halter Top
To sew the hoodie to the halter top, you’re going to want to use a sewing machine. If you don’t have one, you can always hand-sew it, but it will take much longer.
First, lay the halter top flat on a surface. Then, take the hoodie piece and lay it on top of the halter top, lining up the necklines. Pin the two pieces together.
Once you have the two pieces pinned together, sew them together using a straight stitch. Start at the neckline and sew down towards the bottom of the halter top. Remove the pins as you go.
